Actually, DO try taking pictures of flowers at home. But do NOT do it in freezing temperatures dressed in thin cotton pajamas, barefoot and sans gloves, impatiently attempting to capture the morning light falling on fresh flowers as you stand shivering in your front porch.
Was it worth it?

See, even flowers need little brothers or sisters to snuggle up to during cold mornings.
I’m achy and have the chills, and there’s a nasty cough brewing in my lungs. But yeah, I think it was worth it.
But what do I know. I’m a macro addict who’ll do just about anything for a fix.
Signing off to recuperate this weekend. Until next week!

Was it smart? No
Was it practical? No
Was it stupid? Yes
Was it worth it? Yea baby! Love those macro flowers
Hope you’re recuperating. Have some hot tea with honey or lemon!
Hey brc! Yep, I had lots of hot tea. Ginger twist tea, peach tea, Island tea with mango, green tea, chai … seems to be working so far.
I am SO glad you agree it was worth it. Even though you also agreed it was stupid. But hey, there’s no arguing with that.
I can’t believe you still have such gorgeous flowers still going strong. We’ve had a cold snap drop over us here in Western Mass. the last few days so that even my “hardy” mums look like they’ve seen better days. Those look great!
I think Hut bought these flowers, no?
The colors here are gorgeous. Totally worth it, but next time throw on a sweatshirt, ‘kay?
Jenfera, yep, those are bought flowers. My mums are pretty much on the way out now, although a few blooms are still hanging on for dear life.
You know, come to think of it, I just got my Shrew’s Daily Shutters sweatshirt from Cafe Press. Now why didn’t I think of throwing it on?!
Oh yeah, I know. Because one hand had the vase and the other had my camera and I couldn’t wait to start taking pictures.
Patience is indeed a virtue.
